writes: Ahh i am really down at the moment. have you ever felt really low? how did it get better?I hate my job, but i just started it recently, so i feel i will let the team down if i quit now. And that won't look good on my cv either.I have no boyfriend. and have never had a proper one. I'm sick of being alone.and all my friends seem to have drifted away. For university reasons mainly. One is in Japan, one in Mexico..etc. I really want to go travelling too and be freee but i have no one to go with :( well i know my best friend will go with me but i cant stand her anymore. she lies all the time! I have not talked to her in a month. Ive just had enough of her antics, to be honest.I was always close with my brother, but he spends all his free time with his girlfriend now.I plan to take up martial arts and cycling when the paychecks start coming threw but, im just so sad?how can i make things better?can you help me?thanks for reading !

reader, anonymous, writes (11 August 2010): I think younare on the right track with the cycling and martial arts. Exercise sure helps with feelings of depression. Also, since you will be doing these activities as part of a group, you will have ample opportunity to meet guys. In fact, I would imagine that there would be a good ratio of men to women in such activities. I think things are going to turn your way soon, if youngest let them! Good luck!

People dont just feel sad, & you listed quite nicely the reasons you are feeling sad. As someone thats had depression for about the last 20yrs I can tell you that you will remain feeling that way until you address the things that are making you sad. Change jobs & find a new social network, I know thats not easy, but it really is a simple as that.

Take up martial arts, cycling or any other activity where you'll meet new people as soon as you can! Sounds like you really need to find some new friends.
