reader, anonymous, writes (7 September 2007): if i were you, id bring up a subject i know he is interested in, perhaps a good score on a test that you can congratulate him on.
If you show your interest, he may open up.
It takes patience, and it may take a while for him to trust you.
On the other hand, dont seem too keen, as it might scare him off (not because you aren't a lovely person but because he is easily intimidated!)
Just be yourself, and have the confidence to turn the tables and approach him, dont expect him to come to you.
I waited two years for my shy boy, but, that was five years ago, and we are still together. I am 17. Good things come to those who wait. Be patient and good luck!
