lotus mama808 agony auntYou are not alone. Even here in America, where skinny ladies are prized, I would love so much to put on some weight. I am 25, with 2 kids, and have never budged from being 95 lbs. I eat plenty of good foods, I tried workinmg out to maybe build muscle to add pounds, but nothing worked. I dont look sick, with bones sticking out and a sunken face, but I'd like to fit nicely into a size small instead of extra small, and even a size 1 jean, instead of 00. It's crazy. Just a little would be nice. The only thing I can say aout your situation is try to embrace it. One of the reasons heavier ladies are prized where you are is because it's a sign that you can carry babies better, but I am living proof that it isnt true, in fact I carried both my kids very well, we are all very healthy. Remember, obesity is not a good thing, it's bad for your health. Embrace your little body, and be greatful that your chances of becoming a diabetic (or other problems with your heart, etc.) are smaller than the larger wemon.

Seriously, I know that your culture appreciates women with more weight on them, but there isn't a cure other than time if you are naturally slim and genetics are involved. Pigging out, especially on junk food, isn't a good idea for your health.

When I was 13, I was 5'7" and 109 pounds. I ALSO have a very large frame or bone structure. A professional fitness trainer said that my ideal weight for my height and size frame is 167 - so you can imagine how much my bones stuck out back then. You could play the piano on my rib-cage and my legs looked like a colts - all knobby-knees! The only thing that helped me (I don't know why, to this day) is that a Doctor insisted that I eat only whole wheat breads and grains, and that I drink a glass of prune juice everyday. I think his theory is that more fibre would make the food sit in my bowels so that I would absorb more nutrients and fat from it, but then what was the prune juice for? That usually makes you go to the bathroom! Perhaps he felt that it might create constipation as well. I don't know... I was a kid and it seemed like a good idea back then... I did gain weight after that, 20 pounds, but I don't know if it was just my age or if that helped. If you are going to eat MORE food, just make sure that you make good choices and not sugary snacks. I don't think that you want to add weight at the expense of your health. All of the women over here in America are wishing that they had your metabolism, me included!
