We don't really do much as a couple except I go to hers or she comes to mine and the odd occasional cinema viewing. I know that what she is saying is true but I don't know what to do. I haven't got the most amount of money to take her more places so what can I do to make us seem like more of a 'proper' couple?

well you know there is a way you can show that you are ging out without spending money. when you are out together hold hands when you are walking hand in hand kiss her (i mean peck some people don't want to see tossil tennis in public). Go to the park sit on the grass or lay cuddle her just be romantic you don't have to spend money to prove you are in a relationship just the simple things in life are good enough.

Well you dont have to pay for everything. You could both go halves in dates. Like to the movies, to dinner etc.
But seriously if your gf is making a big deal about it then she seems ab it like a poser. It shoudlnt matter if everyone can tell or know that you guys are a couple. She shoudlnt care so much about what other people think....
