They go through these phases where they meet new people, brag about them and talk about them constantly, stop hanging out with me and our other friends for a while. Then eventually it wears off and they act like themselves again. It's so annoying. It almost seems like they're doing some kind of attention seeking behavior or testing the friendship to see how me or our other friends will react. (I personally have other friends as well, so I don't care who they hang out with!) These 2 girls in particular are both emotionally needy and clingy. While I try to help them, I ultimately know it is up to them to solve their own problems. I usually seem to attract these types of needy people. How can I meet some more independent people? What are good qualities to look for in a friend? Reply to this Question Share |

You can make friends anywhere just be confident and talk alot, and those who like you as a person will want to get to know you as a friend. try clubbing, shopping, work, you can make friends anywhere :-D
