The dates were a coincidence, i just set the day of the week and just realised now its valentines day on 14th. She broke up with her bf nearly half a year ago so i'd like to make it special for her as she hasn't been treated like that for a while. Any suggestions, i need to be careful because i don't know how she feels about me. Flowers, chocolates?

Do whatever it takes to tell her that you like her. You need to tell her how you feel before it's too late.
This is just a suggestion but, maybe you could go to a party store, and buy a bunch of balloons, flowers, candy, and a card. Go all out, and make it big.
If possible, maybe have them write on the balloon, "I Adore You" Or something along those lines. That is what I am planning to do.
But, you have to find the right store, because some party stores won't do it. Some party stores don't have the right equipment to write on balloons.
Do whatever it takes to make it obvious and clear to her that she is the one you want to be with!!!
I know that may sound crazy, but if you don't let her know how you feel, she might never know.
What if she is waiting for you to make the first move???
Anyways, do your thing, and tell her how you feel, before she finds someone else, and it might be too late for you.
At least, you can relax and plan it out a little. You have 2 weeks to plan it. But, I wouldn't relax too much, because those two weeks go by pretty fast.
P.S. Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday. =-D!!! lol
