I looked at cards yesterday, but didn't buy any... yet. And chocolate, too, have a better idea about that, knowing his taste. But I kind of want to be romantic without being romantic! Some say I should let HIM to make the romantic connection, but then I am absolutely a romantic so I guess i shouldn't go against my nature.Basically, I don't want Valentine's Day to be some kind of "acid test" of what's going on, but also want it to be meaningful. If you're not sure where your relationship stands, I would choose a card that says something like 'to my valentine' instead of 'to my boyfriend/partner/other half'and with a message that is cute, without being too schmaltzy.
If you know what chocolates he likes, get him a small box of them - alot of places do them in like heart shaped boxes or whatever around this time of year.
If you're not sure where you're at, then I would keep this valentines day pretty low key, although you can still be romantic.
