writes:im looking for advice on how i can make myself prettier.please not i am NOT looking for answers of people telling me beauty is on the inside, or its about confidence or anything like that. i want advice about physical thing i can do. My boyfriend is coming home next week from being at sea for 4 months, and I know he always thinks I am pretty but I want to wow him.I can't seem to post a picture so here is a little description :I am 5"2 dark brown/red hair, blue eyes, wear glasses (I cannot wear contacts because of eye problems). My face is not fat but it aint slender either, and i have a few freckles.I am average build and tend to wear clothes that show my figure and I tend to always wear heels. (I do not like at all really baggy clothes or flat shoes) and I always wear some makeup.Any advice on PHYSICAL things I can do will be a huge help please?

reader, anonymous, writes (14 May 2009): Well.. it sounds like you're all hoochified and dolled up as it is. When i want to make my husband go "wow" I take off the makeup and cover up in public.
There's a difference in being beautiful and being sexy. Don't overdo it. If you do, he might get scared at what he wakes up to in the morning..

2] Book yourself an appointment at the local salon and get a facial, and get the eyebrows, nails etc done, and then ask the hairdresser what haircut [make sure you trust her first] she thinks would suit you, and what hair colour she thinks would go well with your skin tone. After that, debenhams are good with going through make up tips with you, and can even give you a mini make over if you buy a product from them! Just make sure that whatever you wear, you feel comfortable and sexy in, so that your confidence shines through. There is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable in an outfit! Make sure you can walk in the shoes you pick aswell!

I didn't assume you were talking about sex, I was just explaining that you shouldn't get your hopes up about that on the first night because I know how let down I felt the first time I went though this.
I also know that he will be wowed by you as soon as he sees you because you will be in 3D and not in his head.
Go out and find a sexy dress and you will know the right one when you try it on.

 Heres something subtle, things that men look out for without even knowing it (or so i read!) keep your hair a little wavy and not too 'perfect' and wear your eyeshadow with a brighter colour on the outsides, makes your eyes look ever so slightly further apart which is subconciously very attractive to a man. create the illusion of higher cheekbones and a slender face with a good highlighter and above all wear something you feel fab in. If you feel sexy and confident, you'll look sexy and confident!!

for all you lot know we could be saving it till marriage or anything.

 You could go to a saoln and have a spray tan! Ring up for the cheapeast price and ask what tan they use, sun laboratories is excellent, st tropez is good too! Exfoliate the night before and shave or wax, then to maintain the tan moiturise every day, or night and exfoliate every couple of days. You could go to a salon for your hair done, just have a blow wave and tell then to back comb the back sections, a nice head band would look good, or a hair clip? Just something small to add interest. Match everything with your outfit, use the same colours in your makeup and your underwear! X

 Definitely buy a new outfit. Try to find something that accentuates the part of your body that drives him the craziest. If it's your rear, get some nice, thin-fabric pants that make your butt irresistable. If it's your boobs, wear something that shows them off. If it's your legs, get a nice skirt. It might be too late to get some new glasses, but some cute, hip frames could do wonders for your look.
I don't know what kind of guy your boyfriend is, but he may like it if you were waxed you-know-where. Unless, that is, he's a guy like me, that prefers a natural girl. I'm in that rare crowd of dudes that likes a girl the way she is naturally--hairy, make-up-less, and dressed simply. Think about that too.
I also agree with the previous posters: get a good night's sleep, hydrate, and act REALLY glad to see him (if you know what I mean). The guy will explode in his pants.

As an army wife then I can tell you that if you just wear your nicest heels and a little-ish skirt and something a little bit low cut with wonder bra, plus hair up and nice makeup and then he will be happy.
He's been away for so long that he will find you incredibly sexy in a bin bag.
Don't wear your sexiest underwear on the first night as he'll be knackered and probably just want a bath, a back rub and some sleep, so wear something nice but not your BEST.
Save the super sexy stuff for the NEXT night when he'll be rested and his brain will start to calm down from the culture shock.
Also don't be worried if it takes him a good few weeks to want to get off the sofa and away from the Xbox. They are really weird and selfish when they get home because it's just so strange to them that they can't cope.
Give him a bit of space and don't pressure him too much till he gets his head straight.

also ido wear fake tan yea.. but not all the time as i can never get it everywere to make it look like a full tan,, like all ovr my back, and.. yano.. verywere haha

You could try a smocky eye look, or maybe use a green or blue to make your eyes really stand out from your hair! What's your hair like? If its long then you could straighten it and back comb sections so that it looks volumous, if you describe your hair I can answer better. Get some nice underwear for him to see! Black and read are stereo typically sexy, but if you always wear those then try something different. Do you wear false tan? If you don't then I reccomend superdugs own brand called solait, apply it two days before you're due to see him, then the night before. Use the lotion version! Don't forget to wash your hands, I use a nail brush to scrub because I hate orange hands. Exfoliate before you put the tan on! If you need more specific things then msg me! X
