hey there, it's not the end of the world if you don't pass. I have taken 5 driving tests in the past. Passed two (had to take in different countries!) and failed 3!!! I know all about the nerves too..... but you can pass, if you prepare well and even if you are nervous as long as you concentrate in spite of the nerves and don't worry if you fail. it may not be because of nerves but because of bad luck or a cranky tester. I failed the first time for driving on the wrong side of the road and I was nervous and guess what I was nervous as hell the second time and I passed!! Then I moved country, had to learn to drive a shift - took a new test, failed because I wasn't competent shifting gears - fair enough. Then got loads of instruction, failed again because of a picky tester who failed everyone that day and then finally passed and I am now an extremely competent driver I am glad to say!!!

the calmer the better, you have to beleive in yourself and the rest should come. just focus everything on that half an hour and you should be ok. when i did mine my instructor let me drive up to the test center, i was making mistakes all over the place. she kept saying to me 'well theres nothing i can do now, this is you own doing'. not the thing to say!!
when i took the test i made sure that i was confertable, not too hot. i put the bad experiences on the way there to the back of my head and just put as much as i could into it, but above all stayed focused. good luck.
