Question - (4 October 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 October 2009)
A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My brother is 14 and is just starting highschool. Over the summer he has gotten into cigarettes and weed with his friends. I am worried about him because i didnt think he was like that. I understand he wants to experiment and that its a normal part of life. I want to know if theres anything I can do as an older sister to help him in this. We have always been close and he tells me a lot going on in his life. I want to be supportive and a cool older sister, but he knows i dont like what hes doing. He has recently told me he wants to quit, but he has said that before. What can i do to help him and still have him tell me things and trust me?

The important thing is to find out why he has suddenly started to do this. Is there something at home or school that has suddenly caused him to start this? Try starting there.
