They are separated but she cant get over him and has extremely low self esteem even though she is a beautiful successful woman. How can i help her? SOmetimes i want to say the right things yet i have no idea what to say because i havent been in the same situation. I really want to know how to help her get over him.

She needs to heal over time. Just give her space, and try and stay a phone call away. If she needs you, be willing to listen.

Even though you may not know the right things to say, sometimes there are none and the only thing a person needs is someone to rant to and a shoulder to cry on.
Showing her that you are there shows her she is loved and supported. Tell her that and she will feel less alone.
