Then, she started saying she wanted to kill herself. I'm so worried about her and I don't know what to do.I have told my mum about it and my and another friend also went to The Support Centre at school. I think we did the right thing by going, because even though she asked us not to, what are you meant to do when your best friend says she wants to kill herself? Stand back and watch? The Support Centre put us in a room together at school and we talked for hours. My best friend wrote a list of all the things upsetting her and we went through them one by one. The main one was her parents. They are always argueing. And then there is her friends and swimming. She has always wanted to swim in the olympics. But people kept telling her she wouldn't get there. Now she wants it more than anything else in the world. The saddest part is that the main reason why she wants to do it is to make her parents proud of her. Because they have never actually told her they love her or they are proud of her. It's awful that the place she is meant to feel safe (home) she feels rubbish in and the 2 people that she is meant to love more than anything don't care about her.I'm so scared she is going to hurt herself now, and I don't know what to do. Help please!xxxxxx

Tell your friend you are proud of her, for whatever reason. She sounds like a good swimmer, tell her that! Tell her you can't believe what an awesome friend she is and that you love her and will be there for her always.
Maybe you could talk to your own parents; my mom and I fight a lot and yes it seems like she hates me but I go over to my friend's house and her mom makes me feel like the mom I would love to have.
Your parents could be in on this too.
Good luck on your friend hun, and tell her she isn't alone!!!!!

why dont you do something really girly just like a girls night in, do each others hair and make up and things, or go bowling, or to the cinama, something that they didnt use to do together to keep her mind off things.
tell her that your always here for her and you will do anything for her, they obviously wasn't meant to be so there will soon be somebody for her.
