writes:well to start off..i know this girl that i really like before..she was my batchmate from highschool until graduating to 2007 but we never really had any communication..the good thing is my friend said that the girl is only living only few streets from our house..now we are at college today and highschool was like 2 years ago..im thinking of ways to get to know her and tell her that i knew her before and i only live near her house..by the way she is a friend of mine in facebook so what im thinking is like giving her a message in facebook like recognizing her as a batchmate from highschool then i could get to know her with that startup..could you give me some advice pls..im 18 and she's 18 too..please give me some nice advice and how can i get to know her..

Saying in the 2nd message you saw her walking down the street may appear kinda strange....Unless she knows what you look like already or knows one of your friends.

It appears to be the best approach, given that you haven't spoken with her. Just keep yourself open and (if your profile isn't on privacy), keep the conversations casual. If it gets to the point where you and her are comfortable, you can try talking on the phone before hooking up in public.

thx for the answer..as for the meaning of batchmate..it means that we are from the same school since highschool and in the same level..but we are not classmates since our school divides boys and girls in different campus..i always see her before walking somes streets before our house which means she's really near. we study at different colleges school now but i made it to add her in facebook and yes i got the picture of me there..what could be the best approach here?..thx :)

reader, anonymous, writes (17 September 2009): I'm not sure what a batchmate is, so sorry on that point...If she's on your friend list on Facebook, you can leave her a vistor message (I'm not sure how Facebook works, sorry again). If you do that, make sure you have a picture of yourself (a current one) so she may be able to recongize you. When she replies, be sure to make your words open (Ask her Questions, like "how are you since highschool, etc.). Asking questions is a great way to get others to open up, and helps show your friendly side. =)If Facebook has a chat, see if she would want to talk to you there as well.Seeing how close she lives near you, ask your friend to take you by the house and see if it's on your way to the college. If so, then you may be able to walk and chat with her in the mornings.Hope things go well for you!!
