writes: Hi im going on a first date in a few days after being single 6 months and coming out of a mental and verbually abusive relationship. Ive been mentally drained and lost my confidence and self esteem.and i am alot better now im out of it but i am worrying myself to death about it. Please can u give me some advice on how i can get through this without thinking the worse?

You need to remain positive.
You've been through a bad relationship but remember you have come through fighting and your a survivor! be proud of yourself.
Dont worry too much about your first date.
Try and go with the flow.
Dont expect too much, just attend your date (the first time date will always be harder) but dont talk too much about the past, keep the conversation light, talk about your favorite programs, celebrities, interests.
Nothing bad will happen at this date, think of it as going out with a friend for the night.
