A female reader, Annagram United States +, writes (22 July 2012):

If you feel like it, look up the statistics on marriages and divorces these days, and memorize them and the next time someone asks you about your love life tell them those statistics, and that given your age and your activities you are way too busy to start a relationship. If they argue, excuse yourself and call a friend and vent.

Dr.LanceMerryweather agony auntOh - that's an easy one. You simply say, "Why don't you mind your own fucking business!"

Oh sorry, you're a lady and ladies don't speak that way. In which case, you simply say, "At the moment, I have a life and I'd like to keep it that way for a little longer, thanks!"

Good luck!
