i'm 14 and my mom died on November 19, and i, of course, miss her sooooo much. every and any one i talk to says it's a good thing to talk about her and i agree. but when i write something like a poem or how i feel about the situation on myspace blog or something i always feel really embarrassed about it and i don't want my dad to read it. Any ways i guess my question is how can i get over feeling so wierded out when my dad reads stuff? my older sister agrees it feels weird too.

A male reader, rcn United States +, writes (5 February 2008):

rcn agony auntit sounds as if you're concerned about your dad's feelings. poetry and such may bring up emotions and all though it's a good part of healing, it's more difficult to see someone else with hurt and painful emotions than it is to see ourselves. It's OK though. You write, and express yourself how you choose to do it.

Sorry about your loss. Take care.
