reader, anonymous, writes (14 July 2007): Well, you get his attention with your behavior, not your words, you get all dolled up and go out for the evening without him, if he ignores you or picks a fight, then say I can see you have had a bad day, I'll put a beer in the freezer and you go take a shower, and by the time you get out it will be nice and cold for you, I am going to the mall and let you relax with your thoughts...then stay gone for two hours.
Respond to inattention with getting busy yourself, and he will come find you, and his imagination will start to go wild about what you are up to.
