He was awake the whole time during the night. It has been a week since he told me he wasn't sleeping right. I asked him if he was stress, and he said he wasn't (but inside I think that is the problem). My main concern right now is getting him to fall asleep. Does anyone have any advice? I'm very worry about my boyfriend's situation right now. Reply to this Question Share |

How long have you two been sleeping in the same bed? If you two just started spending nights together, it may be just the unfamiliarity that's keeping him awake. If that's the case, he'll probably adjust. If you two have been living together for a while, then it's just plain old insomnia. I suffer from it myself. It's not fun. Right now, my doctor has me on a drug called Trazodone which works pretty well. But before going to the doctor, there are other things he can try:--one of those little sound machines that has a setting for white noise, rain, the ocean, etc.--hot milk before bedtime (has a natural sleep inducer)--no big meals at night--no exercising at night--taking a close look at the caffiene content of his beverages--(you'll like this one) sex right before he wants to go to sleep--relaxing mental imagery--rain on the ocean, snow falling, swirling fall leaves, stuff like that--melotonin (is sold at most drug stores)--a scalp massage from you
