How can I get a guy to like me more than just a friend?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I'm sort of in that situation where I'm always in the "friend zone". Don't get me wrong, I love having guy friends, the ones I have are amazing, they accept me as one of the guys but still look after and look out for me like I'm a girl. The only issue is I always seem to end up really good mates with a guy then fall for him, but of course by then he just sees me as a friend.

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, when I meet a guy I'm usually very friendly and sometimes even friendly flirty if we get on well but I don't really know how to find guys let alone not end up in the friend zone. I seem to only really like someone after I've really gotten to know them or if we have things in common.

I'm going to sixth form/ college soon so I'm bound to meet more guys and I'm sure I'll make friends with a lot of them but I'm just wondering, how do I get them to see me as more than a friend?

nes09 agony auntits alright to be"one of the boys" sometimes. i'm that too.

But if a guy sees you hanging out will all boys and you're the only girl with them, its sometimes a negative thing because they'll treat you like a dude or just a fling hanging around.

i suggest:

try being an independent woman.

dont look too desperate finding a man , but also dont look too comfortable without a man.

be neutral, let your hair down, be a girly girl and have your own opinions, hobbies and likes.

i know its generic but "be yourself" and that means being unique and dont try painting yourself into a girl you think the guy you like will like.. it doesnt go that way :) good luck i hope it'll turn out well :)

You can't MAKE someone see you as more than just a friend.

I know it hurts when you get lumped in as "just one of the boys" I always get seen like that as well!

But isn't it better to have lots of really good guy mates to kick about with, who look after you & like you as a friend, than to be messed about by someone?

You'll find someone you just have to stop looking so hard!
