A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

What should I do about my guy friend? When we met we were so close then he drifted apart. Now he ignores me and doesn't treat me like a friend. This makes me so sad. So after two years of heartbreak about this guy knowing that I liked him and not reacting I told him if he wasn't going to treat me like a friend or listen to me that I would never talk to him again. I havn't talked to him in a week and really I don't care but now since I told him. He hasn't gone online or talked to anyone. I feel bad! I'm still not going to talk to him because of him ignoring me but I was just wondering if maybe he did have feelings for me but showed it really badly. It doesn't matter now anyways but could he have a heart. How can I find out if he missed me? when we go back to school and I have to see him.

dirtball agony auntCaringGuy is right. He likely wanted more than friendship, and when that didn't happen, he moved on. Men don't befriend women they don't have an interest in being with on a "more than friends" level.

I suspect that he liked you a lot more then he let on, and I think for a time he missed you. But I think over time he has decided that for his own sake he needed to move on, which s why he is now ignoring you. I think you need to accept that he has chosen to move on, and stop thinking about this. It will only cause you even more pain, and you may never get an answer.
