If you have set a goal for yourself, that is an excellent first step. If you truly feel that being a teacher is not what you wanted, start figuring out what else you're into. I think being a teacher is an awesome profession and as long as you stay dedicated to it, there's no reason it couldn't happen. But if you're really not passionate about it anymore, move onto something else that excites you! That's what life is all about! Continuing to find that something that you love and wake up for everyday.
As far as being in the "careless" mode, it can be dangerous. I know because I get like this when I feel overwhelmed and want the easy way out! This is bad, bad!! It will definetely blow up in your face! Just try your hardest to make the most of the classes and learn everything you can. This is sometimes my motivation; just knowing that it is a priority and that it has to get done.. With a passing grade !
So good luck with everything and I hope you find something that you stay dedicated to :-)

That way, it gives you a year or two to decide what you want to do without wasting time. I took summer courses which was not as bad as it seems. I would have class two days a week and I caught up right away. I think you will have to take a math class no matter what major you are. My school has lots of tutors and programs for help, maybe yours does too. I was even so desperate I went online and took career quizzes to see what matched me. It might be crazy, but it helped me a lot.
