Hey! here's my question... i been friends with a girl a long time... about 5years now.

Over the last couple of months I have started to like her as more than a friend. So i plucked up the confidence to just find out if she liked me back in that way...she said yeh she does and everything started going great... we'd go out for lunch and stuff like that.

All of a sudden i get a phone call and she says she doesnt wanna go any further because she doesnt want to ruin her friendship... it was so sudden and i'm not sure whether she likes someone else or whether she is being genuine... So my question is if she's genuine... how can i convince her tht it wouldnt be a mistake?

kenny agony auntI think she does like you, after all she did admit that she does. I just think that maybe she is a little scared of entering a new relationship. Maybe she has been hurt in the past, maybe she has just come out of a relationship, who knows. I would keep friends with her, go out with her as normal, meet up for lunch and things. When you are both relaxed ask her why she does not want things to go any further and tell her were anything to happen it would not ruin your friendship. I feel asking her directly like this is the only way you are going to know for sure where you stand.

Good luck
