I'm scared something is wrong with me, and that whenever I see her, I'll forever assoctiate that thought with her, and I DON'T WANT THAT!!! what should I do to help me control my mind and my thoughts??? and what kind of subcontious thing is this????? Protect her from what? You'll and up freaking her out mate. Its pretty normal to have things stuck in your head. Songs are a good example of that. Images are the same sort of thing.
But I think really it's about why the content is that you are thinking of. If it's got anything to do with you trying to be some kind of hero and hurt someone else just to protect her. stay out of it you might be very well making things terribly worse for you.
Don't worry about tv shows they are very well organised things that are thought out and written into a script which is then produced ... They are not real.
If you are freaking out about these thoughts it would be best to see a doctor or speak to a professional for advice.
Cheers.

For example i had a friend who had a baby and she had thoughts ( unwanted) about letting go of the pram, These thoughts made her hold even tighter to the pram in fear, I have heard a few similar stories. I also had a friend who took drugs and they began to have strange thought's that needed phyciatric treatment in the end. As a personal point of view, i think imagery is associated with memory and negative imprints can keep popping up in the mind. I won't watch blood and gore horror movies, i think they leave negative imprints on the mind. Maybe because you don't want the thought's they are creating a form of fear and keep reacurring....please remember that you are in control of your mind....I hope things work out, try not to worry too much, but if this keeps bothering you i would suggest having a chat with your doc.Spunky Monkey.

Dear CEP,
Not sure i fully understand your question but my answer focus thoughts on positive and good things. Think about others and put loved ones first always. If tv programmes influences you then watch programmes that will do so in a positive way. Read inspiring and romantic books. the more you understand and treat your girlfriend and people around you special the more love they will show you.
Goodluck
