A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

i want to cheer up my friend who thinks all guys are evil. I've been there for her, and she just gets hurt by her bf's. She is now single, Valentines day coming up and i just want to make it special for her. What could i get her?

I also need to make it clear that i'm not doin it to win her heart over, how can i put this across, so she doesn't think i'm tryin to buy her love. I just want to see her smile. She always says to me that i always cheer her up and make her smile.

Thanks

A female reader, superbunny United Kingdom +, writes (8 February 2009):

superbunny agony auntJust do something really normal. Like just hang out for the day or go to the cinema; try to get more mates along for it so it doesn't feel like a date.

I'm single and the thing I'm doing for Valentine's Day? Completely forgetting the day as it's a commercial gimmick anyway! Haha!

Hope this helps!

xx
