yes i agree with starfiary shes gave you good advice just tell your mum you want to be safe and that your not planning on sex you just want to be protecected say your mature enough and that you want to be prepaired and yes its better to be safe then sorry x hope this helps

Just say exactly that!
She should respect you for being mature enough to protect yourself, just in case. It doesn't mean you HAVE to have sex because you are on the pill. It's better safe than sorry :o)
