Join a martial arts group - judo, kung foo, Karate, Tai Kwando, Jujitsu and the rest. You don't have to fight anyone but you will be able to defend yourself and not be afraid of being hurt. You will also have some pretty good mates in the club. Everyone has to start. There is no shame in being a beginner.
Question 2
Ask a girl out for coffee or pizza. You have to ask. Faint heart never won fair lady.
Question 3
Being sporty has nothing to do with gender. So in answer, it doesn't make you less attractive.
