So I am hoping someone here is able to help. I just had my 13 week scan only to be told that I'm actually 15 weeks pregnant. It's weird as I know when I had penatrated sex snd to my calculation it is around 13 weeks. So I had intercourse on 1st September and that's when we began trying but now they are saying I'm 15 weeks. Please can someone explain how this happens. Reply to this Question Share |

Pregnancy is counted from the first day of the woman’s last period, not the date of conception which generally occurs two weeks later.
Which makes perfect sense. Your last period was 15 weeks ago, conception 13.
Also ASK your OB/GYN if you have questions or don't understand things.
This is pretty basic pregnancy stuff. Go buy a book, like what to expect when expecting and read up.
