A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

seen this girl around, sent her few messages online general chat. How can i break the ice i want to meet her? I cant think how to do it. And i don't know how she would react because she is really pretty whereas i'm not even up to that standard. There's much better lookin guys out there for her. Do i stand a chance? What can i do? Nothing?

is it easy to find a relationship at uni? Are alot of them physical?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (10 September 2008):

Go for it, carry as much confidence as you can.

But be prepared to be rejected. Try not to give her the impression that it will be totally uncomfortable & awkward if she turns you down. It's best if she feels like you'll be DISAPPOINTED more than really HURT if you turn her down. This would be easier on both of you if she says no, and it'll also make you look more desirable at the same time.

Don't be apologetic for your looks or whatever, be confident about some other strong point you have. You're not there to convince her to tolerate your bad points, you're there to convince her that she should want your good points.
