She took it 4 days after she was supposed to have her period and it turned out negative. She is now 6 days late and recently moved to another state so the timezone changed for her. I don't know if it's the stress and the change in time zones thats delaying her period or if she's pregnant so i'm wondering how accurate is first response if you take it 4 days after a missed period.

Time zones have nothing to do with your body's cycle. However stress is a common factor, and will often make a woman miss her period. The home pregnancy tests are usually good, but when she still hasn't had her period she should take a total of 3 tests. Then if they are still negative, and no period is coming, she should seek a doctor. There is always a possibility for pregnancy, but this could be something as harmless as stress. However the doctor will be able to tell for sure. Has she missed out on her period before, or is this the first time?

It's pretty accurate. Since she's still late she should go to the doctor and get a pregnancy test from them. They will be able to tell more accurately. She can also wait a little longer and take another. Stress is well-known for throwing off her cycle, so that could very well be the culprit.

Yeah, they should be accurate. Taking a blood test would help.

They are usually accurate. Encourage her to go and see her doctor if its worrying for her.
