writes: I have quite a problem with menstrual cramps. I have ever since I started my periods (when I was in 4th grade. I’m in 11th now hah.) In the last year, they seem to have gotten worse. My doctor has prescribed me everything under the sun and I have tried just about everything in the book. Nothing seems to work. I'm getting desperate here. Anything I can do at home? I'm trying to eat more veggies and drink more milk (if I could drink orange juice I would, but I cant)Its getting way out of control and if there's anything that I can do for cramps at all, I am WILLING TO DO IT.

He says about a patch.I use allay patch and find it an extremely useful drug free treatment for pain and inflammation during periods. It is not a cramp lessener but it automatically works to lessen your flow, decrease your period time and thus by its very nature, the intense menstrual cramps you feel will lessen enormously. Take two capsules three times daily, even though the bottle doseage suggests one daily. They have to protect themselves. There is absolutely nothing harmless in this herb. To reassure yourself, go on line and search Dong Quai. I swear, if you take it each month and start it a day or so before you are expecting your period, your symptoms will be relieved tenfold. It may not work this way every month, I still experience more cramping and heavy bleeding about once every four months, but that is better than every month. I hope this helps. If you can't find it at your local drugstore, try calling an acupuncturist....they sell herbs without having to visit them for an expensive visit. In Canada, the grocery stores sell it. I hope this helps.

You should ask your doctor to refer you to a specialist in this problem. You need complete blood testing to find out exactly what type of chemical imbalance your body might have so exactly the right medication can be prescribed. Often the best specialists are professors at medical schools. If there is a medical school near you, you might want to try to arrange an appointment with a gynecology professor there.
