His snoring has always been a problem, its not that it bothers me, i fall a sleep much easier hearing his snoring yet when i'm fast a sleep and his snoring gets loud i wake up and move around a lot then i wake him.. So its never a win win situation. I was wondering is there maybe some kind of medication one can take, or is there some old wives tale that we can maybe try? Thanx! Reply to this Question Share |

There are many great snoring solutions on the market. I personally like the breathing strips, but they didn't seem to work for me, I needed to diet a little more. There is a really good article and a snoring solution at http://www.dubbletake.110mb.com which is the one I ended up using. It feels a little strange at first, but my partner says it works, so I used it, dieted, and now keep it just in case.

My dad snores a lot and I know my mom worked with him and a doctor to fix the problem. There are a variety of dental pieces and nose strips that can help. We found out my dad has sleep apnea and he wears a breathing machine and they both sleep a lot better now.

In more serious cases it could be obstructive sleep apnea. If that's the case, there's a machine that blows air into your nose through the night to keep the airway open.
He should see a doctor and get a proper diagnosis. Although rare in someone young, sleep apnea can be a serious health issue.

lol, kidding :)
Your husband could try nasal strips or sprays, or maybe he can sleep in a different position? I think if you sleep on your back you're more likely to snore.
