How can I get the point across that i don't need him in order to be happy? I like other boys and he likes to be the center of my attention all the time but i don't need him. There are tons of other boys around and I’m not going to waste my time on him unless he asks me out. His life doesn’t revolve around me so why should mine! It doesn’t and he doesn’t understand how fine I am without him being my boyfriend. I’m fine with us just being friends! How do I look not desperate to him!

Go on dates with other guys and tell him about them. Thats what a friend would do. Try to keep busy so if he says that you two should hang out you can say you've got plans, then describe them. Just don't stop hanging out with him all together because you may lose a friend that way. A couple of 'your busy' hang out times he will realize how much he needs you and his ego will come back to normal.
