writes:ok well where do i start, there is this guy who i have been friends with for about 5 years now and he is going out with my best mate for 3 years. i get the feeling that he really like me because he keeps comming out with very open convosations about how i should marry a rich solicitor which he does for a living. he then said to my mother the other day how she would feel if he were to become her son in law. he then went on about me and him meeting up to watch movies together but i dont know what to do?help me plz Reply to this Question

 You didn't mention if you like him? Well either way, you should ask him about his feelings towards you, make sure you are right, and let your friend know. It's kind of crappy to her for him to be asking your mom about marrying you. Unless you are in love with the guy and choose him over your friend, do not date this guy. Your friend has been with him for 3 years... It would be pretty messed up to date him ever, especially not have him leave her for you. I don't know her but I know I wouldn't forgive a friend for doing that to me. She definitely should know about all of this though. Put yourself in her shoes, wouldn't you want to know if your boyfriend of 3 years has feelings for your friend? But like I said, if you really really like this guy and favor him over your friendship then you should go for it. Good luck with it all.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 April 2008): hey girl i have had some of these type of problems in the past to where you dont want to hurt your pfriend but yet he likes you. well here is my advice just be blount and ask him exactly how he feels, and if it is something between the both of you then you should tell you friend and have him there with you when you do. as always the friend will be upset for a little while but you need to do what is in the best interest of yourself.
