They say he likes me, the way I voice, and that he likes my eyes. But they say it in front of him and he says that he doesn't like me. I have noticed that he has been flirting with me. I don't know what to believe. Does he really like me or is he just playing with me?

His friends put him on the spot and he was embarrassed. He probably does like you, but he's shy. Maybe someday he'll make a move, but until then, I would move on with my life until he's no longer embarrassed about his feelings.

He is probably shy to admit that he likes you. i get the feeling he does, maybe next time his friends say he fancies you , you should say cool , i like him too. and see what he says. He is probably embarrassed around his friends etc so maybe try talk to him on your own..
good luck
