Question - (24 March 2009) 4 Answers - (Newest, 24 March 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I am a woman who can admit to other women as being beautiful but enough is enough. My boyfriend stares at every nice looking girl...not look but stares. So when I'm talking to him he doesn't hear a word I say. I asked him to stop doing that around me or not to make it known. I left it alone but one day on the phone he was watching a Beyonce video (Single Ladies) and I asked him a question. He replied with a nasty lustful noise calling out Beyonce's name right behind it. I asked him why he did that and he laughs, saying he was having a moment.

The next week he came over and saw her video and stared, saying, "Her body is banging as hell." I left the room; he asked why after the video was over, and I said, "You are making me uncomfortable with the way you're acting about other women and all the Beyonce quotes you give." He replied by saying I was jealous of her. My heart stopped. Yes, she is beautiful and all, I have all her music, I just don't get how I'm jealous. The problem is, now when I see her on TV and hear her on the radio I think about how perfect he thinks she is and how I'm not. I don't know how to get over it. He never says I look nice (only twice) and I do. I can't look at her videos anymore without feeling sad.

eyeswideopen agony auntI told you why, men can be such dorks, some more than others. Find a guy who is mildly dorky if you can't deal with this one.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (24 March 2009):

Im not jealous of her but sad cause I cant look like that unless I had a team of people. He is not ugly but he is not all that. It just feels like hes rated me low, when he does this stuff. Why not say I look nice or I have a nice body( & I do).

eyeswideopen agony auntMen can be such dorks. Sit him down and tell him to keep his ogling under control when he is out and about with you or you won't be going anywhere with you in the future. It's rude behavior pure and simple, both to you and the other women. As far as the super star goes, you need to just relax and just recognize stupid behavior when you see it.

You are jealous of a pop star. Do you seriously think your boyfriend has a chance in hell with Beyonce? I would guess not. Then why are you bothered?

It's not Beyonce. It's those other women he stares at on the street. Your real rivals. So give him a taste of his medicine. Sleep with one of his friends and film it. Make sure to offer disparaging comments on his tiny penis.

That ought to shut him up.
