A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I've recently gotten into my first relationship with a guy 2 years older than me (i'm 18, he's 20, almost 21) and i also found out that I'm his first girlfriend too. We had been talking and meeting since Christmas last year so we've been taking things slowly as we both really like each other, 10 months later and we're officially together but I was just wondering how to keep a relationship alive and fun! Where to go on dates? Fun things to do? Any experience you guys may have had please feel free to share as I would like advice.

Thankyou

I think you just want to keep things exciting and not let dates lag into routine. It does get boring just sitting around; or out drinking all the time.

Sometimes you just want activities that give you an adrenaline rush, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Sometimes you want things to share with another couple, a group of friends, or just the two of you.

It's always nice to go on scooter rides in areas meant for limited traffic and sight-seeing. Getting around tourists might be a problem during peek seasons; but it can be pretty nice during good weather and daylight.

If you have smartphones, there are apps that keep you updated on where to follow local bands that perform under the stars.

Check out flea markets and local fairs.

I love museum exhibits and zoos. Here in America we have the Bronx Zoo, or the zoo in Central Park. I'm sure you have equivalents where you are.

Take turns coming up with ideas, don't always be the one who has to setup all the plans.

Picnics on the waterfront at night in a safely lit area at night. Depending on where you live. If you live near large housing developments and complexes; life might be a little stagnant. You have to get out of town once in awhile.

You live in the UK; so some people aren't near

safe areas; or live in small towns off the beaten path.

You have to take advantage of what you have, if you don't have the transportation to get around; or limited funds.

Take a train-ride to view the countryside. Pack your own lunch and wine.

These might sound lame and a little old-fashioned; but it's different.
