 well first of all NEVER compare yourself to the ex you just need to show her that you're better than him without telling her let her figure that out for herself.she'll clearly still be upset and hurt by him so best not to bring him up.you just let her know how you feel tell her if you don't want to do it face to face then text her or ring her or email her.i'm sure she won't make you look like a fool she's already stated she'd date a guy like you perhaps she's just waiting for the signs from you.but if you don't tell her then you'll never know what could of been.and if you do tell her but she's not ready then that doesn't stop you guys from being friends and developing into something more later on.but do be careful as im sure she is very fragile :)best of luck (Y)
