I would be careful about a guy who tells you he loves you when he is in a current relationship, especially one that is 4 years old....does not sound very trustworthy to me...how would you feel if you were the girl he was cheating on, don't you think if he does that with you he will do it to you eventually...
Further guys aren't scared to leave their girlfriends if they want to be free then they will find a way to leave sooner than later...perhaps the only thing he is scared of is how not into you he really is, and you work together, too, how smart is that to start a romance with a co-worker after only a few weeks on the job....do you like the job, do you want to keep it with no drama and no inter-office gossip to ruin your first impression about you, your character or your performance? Chances are you won't be seen in a favorable light for breaking up his romance with his friends and co-workers.
