A female , anonymous writes:

me and my ex have been very very good friends since sixth grade. he liked me then and we "went out" in seventh but that lasted like a month since we were both so young and dumb. we have always like each other from then on. we ended up together again jr. year, fell in love, lost virginities, i got dumped. he says he just doesnt feel like it was in the beginning. but he wants to be friends but i want him back. im trying to have him miss me more than a friend but it feels like theres no hope in that. now, in senior year, did he just break up with me cause it is senior yr and he wants to have his fun with girls or are we really over?

A male reader, CRS698 +, writes (4 September 2006):

CRS698 agony auntHi, I don't think he split just because it was your senior year, it may be that he doesn't want the commitment that you do. Without anything coming from him that says he wants to be with you, you will have to accept that it's not what he wants. If you don't feel that you'll be happy just being friends, you need to move on and concentrate on you.

You WILL find someone who will be committed to you.

I hope it works out for you.
