He's lied once - does that mean he's cheating?

Tagged as: Trust issues<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (29 July 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 29 July 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year, it has been good most of the time apart from his female best friend constantly taking advantage of him, we have got over this. Recently, his mother has become ill and he had to move home 5 hours away from me but he has been coming to see me every weekend. Today I found out he left earlier last weekend to get his car modified, when he told me he was going to see his mum and this weekend he isnt even coming due to the fact he is 'too tired'. He has never lied to me like this before and I am just wondering what else he could be lying about? or am i just being over suspicious?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (29 July 2008):

The poor guy is probably just knackered! 5 hour journeys are a lot to do every weekend when you are caring for a sick person though the week.

He probably feels terribly guilty for every second he doesn't spend with you so lied to avoid an argument or more guilt.

Why can't you go down there to help out with his mum and see him for a while?

Good Luck!! xx
