When we are on the phone, we talk about everything for hours on end. I am concerned if I cross that boundary and allow him to have benefits, I will lose one of my few very best friends. He insists he does not want a serious relationship with anybody but I cannot get the thought out of my head that he potentially wants more with me and that is why he continues to pursue me. I need help. Thanks, Katrina

I'm puzzled by your post. You have known and communicated with this man for five years and now he wants to add sex to the friendship?
At the same time you tell us he insists that he does not want a serious relationship with anybody.
Whatever makes you think he is pursuing you because he wants more than "benefits"????
Is there a REMOTE chance that by "beneficial" he is NOT talking about sex? - highly unlikely as that appears?????
