 If he's your ex boyfriend, you should really let him be with his family on Valentine's Day. Maybe ask him if he'd like to hang out the day before or day after - besides, the restaurants will be wayyyy less crowded.

If you go out with a guy with a baby, then you have to accept that he is going to have to spend weekends and lots of money on the child and it's mother.
Tell him that you wanted to treat him for Valentines and ask him if you can have a nice night out with him another night to make up for it if he is going to be with his baby on the day.
