writes:me and my boyfriend have been together almost 2 years. two days ago, he recieved a letter of acceptance for an english teaching course is barcelona which he applied for almost a year ago, thinking he would not get it anyway. he will be gone atleast a year, and as i am still studying for the next 3 years there is no way for me to visit. he leaves in 6 weeks, and so we are going to have to break up the day he leaves. i am trying to enjoy the precious time left i have with him, but everytime i leave, my heart breaks in two. is anyone going through the same sort of circumstances? any advice welcome,broken-hearted 19yr old, northern ireland. reader, anonymous, writes (12 April 2009): why do you have to break up? it might be hard but not all long distance relationship fail. have you sat down with him to talk about how you both feel?
