writes: What should I get him for Christmas? He's getting me a PROMISE RING.So, im 16 years old and my boyfriend is 17. We've had a great relationship, we've been together for basically 6 months, but we both know that if we met sooner, we would have been together a lot longer, we're really in love. He's changed my life and my ways since we've been together and we plan to get married as soon as we're old enough and know we're both completely ready. For christmas, he's getting me a promise ring and im so excited. But im stuck, what should I get him?! I dont have a job so I dont have alot of money like he does, I need something that is affordable, but not cheesy. Something he'll love, no matter what. Id be so embarrassed if I didnt get him something he liked, since he's getting me one of the best gifts one could ask for. Its not only beautiful, but it means ALOT to me. So I want to do the same for him somehow. Please, help? If you've got any ideas, im open to anything.

We're both 15, im like 17 hours older though and he doesnt know I know he's getting me a promise ring but I do and I have NO idea what to get him, he's plays guitar beautifully and I was thinking about getting him this guitar that he practically drools over everytime he sees it. I was thinking about getting him a ring but I dont know if he would be able to wear it because of his parents... so this is my last resort. The tickets sound like a good idea, but the only thing I would take him to see would be Nickelback and their only show is in ENGLAND!

Its awesome, i'm very lucky. So thats my christmass gift to him. Sounds like he loves you, you should talk to him about getting a band for his finger too.

Sounds good to me! Very clever buying the stocking and filling it... I love it. He will too!
I just had a random thought - I love making really random gifts.
If you went to an arts and crafts store, you could find a oval ball that you can stick things into, go buy a hundred picks (they're pretty cheap), some paint and ribbons for the top and build a guitar pick pineapple!!!!!
Okay, there's my random gift creativity of the day. In fact, I might use that this year for the holidays...

arielbriane is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthank you, he's a guitar player but he's got guitar hero. i was thinking i would get him a few things. I'll buy a stocking and fill it with his favorite picks and guitar string, i'll go to build-a-bear and make him a teddybear, i'll burn him a few CDs and give him a picture of us framed. Do you think that will be good?

Does he have a favorite sports team? I know if I got my husband tickets to a Lakers game, he'd go bananas. Or, you can go the more personal route - I loved Anonymous's idea of the wallet with the picture inside.
I wouldn't go with jewelry, but I would go with something that adheres to his interests. Is he a guitar player? Get him Guitar Hero! Or, does he adore food? Get him gift certificates to some of the favorite restaurants around town - the gift of dates is always sweet and creates lots of memories. And, you can always polish off a gift with a nice massage... no guy can turn it down!
If you really want to do the jewelry route, I bought my fella a pocket watch and he adored it. It's a really slick accessory, unique and he'll always cherish it. Maybe even get it engraved on the back!
Good luck, sweet! And don't worry too much, he'll love whatever you get him. Christmas isn't about stuff, it's about expressing your love!
