Question - (25 May 2008) 4 Answers - (Newest, 25 May 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

my friend got together with this boy about two years ago and he was lovely and they got along really well, they must have been together about six months, ad they were a very good six months, and he randomly started talking to her on msn about a year ago again.

they started talking, and the chat became more flirtatious. they sent eachother quite rude pictures, they weren't naked or anything, but now he's blackmailing her saying that if she doesn't sleep with him etc then he will post them on the internet.

should she tell her mum?

what should she do?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (25 May 2008):

This says you are from the UK. If so then blackmail of this kind is illegal and she should threaten to tell the police on him. Tell her to archive all the conversations she's had with him as evidence.

Threatening him with the law should scare him enough to make him back off.

It says here you are 35 - 40 but you do sound younger. If you are under 16 and he posts the pic online then he will get put on the sex offenders register for making indecent images of a child. It doesn't matter that he is young too.

Threaten to tell the police and his mum, that should scare him enough to back off.

Good Luck!! xx

Tell your friend that no matter what happens she should not be bullied into having sex with this man.

She should tell her mum, even if it is embarrassing. Then maybe something can be done about this bully. He sounds like a danger.
