He is completely overjoyed with the birth of my daughter even taking time off work to look after us both.Nothing has happened between us, apart from a kiss when my daughter was born. But I have completely fallen for him. Do you think he feels the same? Should I tell him how I feel or will that make our friendship awkward?

Quite clearly it could of been an accident!!
I think you should tell him. The worst that can happen is he says he doesn't feel the same. Which I think is highly unlikely if you both live together and he has really taking your boyfirends place.
Go for it girl. He might feel the same and you won't know until you say something.
Sorry on the loss of your boyfriend and congrats on the birth of your daughter. All the luck in the future.
