A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Do you think this guy likes me ?. A friend of his saw me with him today ( i had bumped into him in town, and i had met him a couple of times before ) and when his friend saw me with him, he asked who i was and he said that he had been talking about me to his friend during the week saying that he wants to date me, but he feels ashamed because he doesnt have much money because of the hours at his job being cut down. I told him that he doesnt need to be ashamed though, and i'm not a snob. What do you think ?.

A female reader, GeeGee255 United States +, writes (7 March 2011):

GeeGee255 agony auntIt sounds like he likes you, but a guy likes to be able to take a girl out and show her a good time, pay for the date and all that.

So you either ask him out saying its your treat or you wait for him to ask you when his situation improves.

And there are plenty of things you could ask him to do that don't cost money. Like a hike or a picnic. Etc..

If he says no to a no cost date then maybe he isn't the guy for you.
