Her parents won't let us date again because of prior problems

Ok so this girl and I dated for about a year freshman year and things went great at first. We fell in love. However, we made a lot of immature mistakes like getting into fights and it has been about a year since we split up. We have been talking and want to start dating again because we cant feel for anyone else. The problem is that her parents will never let us date again because we had so many problems. How can I have a relationship with this girl?
