Look man, it is very simple. Here's the base exercise set I started on until my body got into a little better shape. Take a deck of cards, shuffle and separate it into 4 even piles. Flip over the first card on the first pile, whatever it is, do that amount of pushups. Then immediately flip the card on the second pile and do that amount of situps. GO until you finish the entire deck. For me I began doubling crunches with each card flipped, so at the end I would have cranked out something like 215 pushups and 430 crunches. If you reach the point you can't continue with pushups do the knee pushups, with your knees down.
Do this everyday for like 20 days and you will feel tired as shit, but stronger. Then once you get your muscles used to work, get into the gym! If you can do this easily, test yourself and reset the deck! I do this exercise routine twice a day every other week or so, the week in the middle i hit the gym. Go for it buddy!

To get the six-pack itself, I'd recommend push-ups, crunches, and an exercise my cross-country coaches always used to call "the plank" (don't know if there's another name for it.) Anyway, you hold a position similar to the push-up position, but put your elbows on the ground instead of your hands so that the weight of your body is supported by your elbows and your toes. Keep your torso straight (no butt in the air!) like you would with a good push-up. You can clasp your hands in front of you or just have them on the ground, but your elbows rather than your hands should be bearing the weight or your body. Depending on your fitness level, you will feel the "burn" from this in your abs after 30 seconds to 1 minute initially. Work up to being able to hold this position for longer periods of time.
Please note that if you have enough of a body fat layer over your stomach your six-pack may well be there in the underlying muscle without being as visible. So, to have it show up, you will need to incorporate a healthy diet and full-body exercise such as running, biking, or swimming to help burn body fat all over. Good luck =]
