writes: There are two main conflicts in my love life.1.) My man in the moment does humantarian work all over the world; so we try to cumminicate as much as possible, but this has been going on for 5 months already and I am just aching from being away from him, being the hopeless romantic I am. Its gotten to the point where I cry at night sometimes... We were very close before he had to leave. And we still are but the physical absense is killing my inside :(2.) That man of mine is a die hard christian with conflicting values! Constantly trying to convert me! I have no religion, the closest thing I could ever think to believing in, if I was going to, would be Ancient Greek Mythology becuase it's entertaining. (Im a writer and a artist and I find alot of inspiration from it) First of all I was raised Catholic and I think that was enough of me communicating with Jesus Christ, I dont mean to offend anyone but It doesnt fit my life style. Any religion that teaches the idea that sex is only for reproduction and not a act of pleasure or love is a bunch of bullocks to me. I know my man well and I believe he is having a inner battle between the passionate side I worked so hard to get into him and the religous morals side that says this is wrong. Latley I have been think of just converting to get him to shut up but there is no honesty in that. What should I do?

guylovesme is verified as being by the original poster of the questionI really feel like he is putting religion ahead of our relationship now. Sex means nothing to him now, he only wants to chase after God. He says wait for me and to find God's spirit but until then he doesnt want to have to do anything romantic with me... Im going after him... he is only distancing himself from me... I need to know if the connection is still there. Should I chase after him... and possobly seduce him?

hi, im a christian myself and of course sex isnt just for reproduction! the Bible describes it as two people becoming one body! if sex was only for reproduction God wouldnt have made it ...you know more than that!he shouldnt force you to do anything, thats not what Jesus wants, but try and listen to him, since i have become a Christian life become better and a lot more exciting - its great.it must be hard to have a long distance relationship. make the time you do spend together really memorable. but there isnt much you can do about it.hope this helps x

guylovesme is verified as being by the original poster of the questionYeah you really think it would enrich me as a writer. *Laughs* I have read the bible and I think it's sexist. But that just my assumptions. I really have tried to listen to what he wants me to do but I can't im in much to intune into my sexuality to acknowledge the life he wants me to live. Besides from what ive read it does the exact opposite of what you say. I have looked for hours countlessly in the bible looking for something that says sex is a way to express love. But its not! It shoves virginal innocence down the throat.
Its a old book and honeslt i would rather believe in the epic poem of the Iliad then the Bible. the Iliad is older but it fits the way people should live... free of a fear of hell. Christianity grew becuase of the fear it drilled into the people of the past.
I tried to ask him to respect my values, but then he says things like, "you are so perfect but you are not a follower of god.. i wish you where."

If it is few months or a year, be patient and wait for your lovely man. If he will be away for more years, discuss seriously with him.2. I am a regular reader of the Bible and I am a Christian. The Bible also proves that sex is not only for reproduction but also pleasure and love. I am sure he doesn't force to convert you because even Jesus Christ didn't force anybody to follow him. Christianity is only just by your will. Don't listen what people say, just read the Bible and of course, it also enriches your profession as you are a writer. Good luck!

2. You should ask him to respect your lack of religion and to stop trying to convert you. My fiance is Catholic and I'm an atheist. I am adamant about staying an atheist. We don't tend to talk about religion. He wants our future kids to be baptised. I don't really care. He can go to church if he wants but I'm going to have my lie-ins :)
